The issue includes reviews of 2 great books by Sarah Selecky: ‘This Cake is For the Party’ and Sheila Heti: ‘How Should a Person Be?’ – both are on my reading shelf.

CBC Broadcast of Belonging

Fun with samplers. I haven’t done sound recordings of poetry in a while, so it was a lot of fun working with Laurence Stevenson (musician, sound engineer) and producer Steve Wadhams to create this adaptation of some poems from my latest manuscript. The book is about creating the sense of belonging and it’s about everything from Quebec cheese, to Russian dolls, to rice paddies and strip malls. It aired on CBC June 25, 2010, on the program Living Out Loud.
